India vs West Indies: The Decider Third T20I is on 11th December


India vs West Indies series has begun on 6th December 2019 amid a blast of excitations. The series that comprised of three T20Is and three ODIs between the two teams has become a cutthroat competition since both teams won each of the two T20Is that have happened. Thus, the third T20I became a Decision maker in the T20I series and it is scheduled on 11th December in Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.

The first T20I took place on 6th December in Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. West Indies scored a mammoth 207 runs with Shimron Hetmeyer scoring 56, Evin Lewis scoring 40, and Kieron Pollard scoring 37. The score was rather a difficult target for India, but the team had chased it with ease with Virat Kohli's scoring 94 and Lokesh Rahul scoring 62. Being the first T20I, the match had kept the users on the edge of the seat and made them look forward to the second.



In the second T20I, that took place in Greenfield International Stadium of Thiruvananthapuram, India batted first and scored a decent total of 170 runs. Shivam Dube (54) was the highest Run scorer followed by Rishabh Pant (33). The target was chased by West Indies in just 18.3 runs with the openers Lendl Simmons and Evin Lewis scoring 67 and 40, and Shimron Hetmyer and Nicholas Pooran scoring 23 and 38 each. West Indies won the match equaling the series to 1-1.

With the two teams establishing their strengths in the first two matches, the third match became a tiebreaker and also a psychological dominating factor for the rest of the series.  It is established that both the teams are equally strong and the one that achieves a victory in the next T20I grasps a psychological high ground. Although this cannot become a deciding factor in the performance of the teams in ODIs, it will have some effect that might be advantageous or contrary.

But given the current competition, the third T20I is expected to be a thriller for the audience.
