Rohit Sharma and Washington Sundar led India to Nidahas Trophy Finals
India has stormed in the finals of Nidahas Trophy 2018 with 17 runs against Bangladesh on 14 Mach. Skipper Rohit Sharma scored an excellent 89 runs smashing five sixes and five fours in the 5th match of the Trophy. Mahmudullah, Bangladeshi captain won the toss and asked India to bat in the first innings and they scored 176/3 in 20 overs. Indian cricket team was in full form and managed to win successfully without any pressure. Brilliant bowling by the youngest player of the team Washington Sundar have let 22 runs from his 4 overs and clinched 3 wickets. Counterpart Bangladesh could only manage to score 159/6. Bangladeshi batsman Mushfiqur Rahmin gave a good score to this country with an unbeaten 72 off 55 balls in R Premadasa Stadium in Sri Lanka.
Rohit Sharma was named man-of-the-match for his best performance. Sharma praised Washington Sundar post-match for his bowl deliveries, clear mind and he added "it's not easy for a spinner to ball with the new ball, but he has managed it excellently and has led India to the final. This allowed me to breathe easy. " India will be playing the final match on 18th March against the country which wins the semi-final.
