Do-or-die match between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh

Ahead of finals, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will be having a breathtaking match and the winning team of the league will be playing the final match of Nidahas Trophy against India on 18th March 2018 at R Premadasa Stadium located in Sri Lanka.

This is the second time that Bangladesh will be playing against Sri Lanka today evening at 6 p.m. Sri Lanka will have to continue the series without Dinesh Chandimal as he was suspended for two matches after low over-rate in the first match against Bangladesh.  Thisara Perera will be captaining Sri Lanka in the absence of Dinesh Chandimal. In the 3rd match of Nidahas Trophy, the stadium witnessed an amazing match which was won by Bangladesh in their first meeting with the hosts.

The match would be an exciting for all the spectators as Bangladesh former captain Shakib Al Hasan will be returning to the squad after recovering from an injury which he sustained in January. On the other side, Lankan team is happy as Kusal Mendis is in full form and is fit to play after he suffered a quadriceps muscle strain while fielding against India. Bangladesh’s left-arm quick Mustafizur Rahman has taken 5 wickets in two matches. He has been constantly increasing his games be being a great strike blower and an excellent score against Sri Lanka in their last match.

Kusal Perera has scored 66 runs against India in the inaugural match of the trophy. Riding high on his scores Sri Lanka is expecting maximum runs from the batsman to defeat Bangladesh. Mahmudulla, Bangladeshi skipper along with his team chased 215-run to beat Sri Lanka expects to create their nation's brand in the tournament by winning against the Lankan and to enter the final match.

A must-win match between Bangladesh and Sri Lanka as the match will spot the winning team to finals against India. It would be very disappointing for the Sri Lankan team if they do not make it to finals as they are hosting the tournament. It will be heartbreaking for the Bangladesh team if they don’t use the opportunity of winning the limited overs series.
